People are pointing Claude Code at their smart TVs to switch off ads

People are using Claude Code to switch off sponsored ads, tracking and bloat on smart TVs, over Wi-Fi and with no root. One developer had Claude Code clean up his parents' Xiaomi TV and put the prompt on GitHub (tv-vibehack); another project, dumbtv, targets Fire TV. The catch: these tools are built for Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV, not Samsung, LG or Roku. AI agents can make mistakes, so disable apps and never uninstall system apps.
